There is a wide selection of browsers available in the Google Play store. In the next menu, tap “Browser app” to be able to select which browser you want to set as your default.

But, if for whatever reason you need to turn them off, even temporarily, the good news is that the process is quick. Just make sure that you remember to turn them on when you can since those dots are there to help.
How to Disable Notifications Dots in Android 10One way to turn off the notification dots in through the home screen. Long-press on a space on the home screen and tap on the Home Settings option.

Android: How to Remove the Background on Any Image

Things become much difficult when it comes to removing the background from the image on Android. Although there are lots of Android Photo editing apps available on the Google Play Store, none of them has a background eraser feature.
Erasing the background on any Android can result in a lot of funny pictures. You can remove the background of a picture of you and then use another app to turn yourself into a WhatsApp sticker, for example.
Or, you can add a tropical background and make everyone think that you’ve visited the tropical island of your dreams. The following Android app does a great job of removing the background on any image without the need for in-app purchases.
Erase Backgrounds Automatically on Any Android Device
The app you’ll need to install is called Remove.bg – Remove Backgrounds 100% Automatically. When the app opens, tap on the blue upload image button and choose what app you want to add the image from. The app does a great job of removing the background even in the tiniest details, but there is one annoying thing.
The app has you go through some tests (not all the time). It’s to make sure ¨you’re human¨ by selecting an image’s traffic lights. Other than that, it gets the job done. The image whose background is removed will automatically appear in your device’s gallery.
What you do with the image after is your choice, but there’s always the option of turning that image into a WhatsApp sticker. You can use apps such as Wemoji, Stickerly, or Sticker Maker. Other apps might not have the option to remove the background for you, and you have to remove it yourself. But, this app does a great job if you need to get things done in a hurry.
ConclusionThis app is a real life-saver if you want to remove the background in a picture with complicated edges. It cannot be enjoyable when you can’t get rid of those last pixels from the image. What will you be doing with the images whose background you’re going to remove?

Android: How to Create Digital Invitations

You can create electronic invitations using special applications. Universal editors allow you to prepare your original publication and individual invitation ticket. At the same time, you do not need to spend a lot of time and resources.
How to Make a Fantastic Digital Invitation – Android
An app with great designs for your invitation is Invitation Maker & Card Design by Greetings Island. When you first open the app, you can choose from themes such as:
ChristmasHalloweenBirthday
You get designs for all these events with one app, and that’s only the invitation tab list. There’s another tab where you can also create greetings cards as well. Let’s say that you’re going to invite some friends over to a pool party.
After tapping on that event, you’ll need to choose a design from a large variety of options. You’ll see that there’s a heart under each design. By tapping the heart, you’re letting the app know that it’s one of your favorites. To access your favorite designs, tap on the profile icon at the top right. All the designs you selected will be there.
Editing Your InvitationWhen you first open the app, you won’t see any editing options. Tap on the text to edit, and then you can erase the already existing text, Replace the text, change the font style, Modify the size/color, or align it.
With the fonts you can choose from, the app will show you a preview of what the font looks like before using it. That way you can decide if it’s the one you’re looking for. The size is straightforward to adjust since you can use a slider to find the perfect size.
When choosing a color for your text, the app doesn’t let you create your own color, but there are quite a few options to choose from. At first, the app will only show you five colors, but tap on the dots for more options.
You can move the text anywhere you want on the invitation, but it’s not possible to move the items around. If the invitation could use a few more stickers, there’s an option to add more, and you can even upload your own logo or image. Once you’re done editing your invitation, tap on the Next button at the top right. You can save your image, share it right from the app, or you can print it.

Mint for Android: How to Configure the Ad-Blocker

One of the key points of the browser is that it includes a built-in ad-blocker. Not all users may want this enabled at all times though. Thankfully for those times and users, you can disable it rather easily.

Adverts can be intrusive in both overt and subtle ways. The most obvious intrusive adverts are the ones that overlay large portions of the content of the website, forcing you to close the advert manually. These types of ads are designed to ensure that the reader sees them and to increase the change that you accidentally click on them through the use of tiny buttons to close the ad. Advertisements that include sound on websites that generally don’t use sound are also excessively intrusive.

Behaviour tracking is a subtle part of the intrusive behaviour of adverts. Advertising companies use cookies and other tracking scripts with all of their adverts to monitor your browsing activity. Your browsing data is used to create an “Interest profile” that is then used to target future adverts to you and your interests. The aim of this is to increase the chance that you click on an ad and buy a product because you’re being shown adverts based on your “Interests”. The scale of the tracking can give the advertising companies an unprecedented level of insight into your life.

An ad-blocker allows you to be free of the intrusive nature of adverts and can speed up your browsing experience. Ad-blockers work by identifying web requests for adverts and then prevent your browser from ever requesting the advert. This means you save the extra data and time it would take to download the advert that you don’t want to see. blocking the advert from downloading also prevents the tracking elements from being able to track your browsing activity, giving you more privacy.

How to configure the ad-blocker in the Mint browserThe Mint browser on Android includes a built-in ad-blocker that can be configured via the in-app settings. To be able to access the in-app settings, you first need to tap the triple-dot icon in the top-right corner of the app.

To be toggle the ad-blocker on and off, you can tap “Block ads” in the centre of the drop-down menu.

To open the settings, to configure the ad-blocker, tap the cogwheel icon in the top-left corner of the drop-down menu.

In the settings, tap “Advanced” the fifth option from the bottom.

In the advanced options, the three ad-blocker options are in the top sub-section. “Ad blocker” simply toggles the ad-blocker on and off. “Show Ad blocker notifications” toggles if the alert bubble appears in the top-left corner of the app to show you how many ads were blocked on the page. “Clear ad blocker history” allows you to clear the count of total ads blocked by the ad-blocker.

Also, the ads and links on Mint.com are for internal up-sells, so if you never planned to buy any kind of subscription through Mint.com anyway, they’re not going to lose any money by you hiding this junk out of view. This is different than the ads on most websites where they get paid to simply display them in your browser.

Help! My Android is Stuck in Safe Mode

Even though putting your phone in Safe Mode isn’t very hard, it’s not always clear how to get your device out of it. That can be very frustrating, particularly for those who aren’t intimately familiar with their devices.
For those who are stuck in Safe Mode for whatever reason, fear not! Here’s our step-by-step guide on how to turn off Safe Mode on your Android device.
1. Power Completely OffPower completely down by pressing and holding the “Power” button, then select “Power off“. Do NOT select “Restart” or “Reboot”. Many Android devices will stay in Safe Mode if you select “Restart” or “Reboot”.
Once the device is powered off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn the device back on.
2. Check For Stuck ButtonsThis is the most common cause for being stuck in Safe Mode. Safe Mode is usually enabled by pressing and holding a button while the device is starting. Common buttons you would hold are the volume up, volume down, or menu buttons. If one of these buttons are stuck or the device is defective and registers a button is being pressed, it will continue to start in Safe Mode.
Ensure none of the buttons are held down by a foreign object or an accessory. Remove the device out of its case to be sure that’s not the cause. Give each button on the device a push to test out if they stick in any way. You may need to clean the buttons with a damp cloth in some cases.
3. Battery Pull (If Possible)If a simple power down doesn’t do the trick, pull the battery if you own an Android device with a removable battery. Wait about a minute or two before inserting the battery back into the compartment and powering the device back on.
4. Uninstall Recently Installed AppsIf the above options didn’t work, a recently installed app may be causing the device to start in Safe Mode. Open “Settings” > “Apps” and uninstall any recently updated or installed apps, then power the device off and restart.
5. Wipe Cache Partition (Dalvik Cache)The Android OS stores data in a cache partition. That data can sometimes cause your Android to endlessly be in Safe Mode. Steps for clearing the cache partition can vary with each device. Consult the documentation provided with your device about how to enter Recovery Mode.
6. Factory ResetIf you have tried and tried again to get your phone out of Safe Mode using the steps above, you may want to factory reset your Android. This can be done by going to “Settings” > “Backup & reset”. This will clear all data off of the device and set it back to its factory default state. This is an unfortunate last resort if your problem cannot be solved otherwise.
7. Hardware IssueIf you have tried all of the above attempts to fix your Android, you are most likely looking at a hardware issue with your device. It’s possible the mechanism that controls one of the buttons is broken. It could also be some other internal hardware issue. At this point, your best bet is to contact your carrier or the device manufacturer for a replacement.

How to Troubleshoot Bluetooth Headphones on Android

Check the Bluetooth Pairing SettingsSometimes Bluetooth might simply be turned off on your phone or device. The icons that indicate whether Bluetooth is on or off can be difficult to see, or they might be hidden. If your device has a Bluetooth settings screen that allows fine control of Bluetooth behavior, you should ensure that Bluetooth is “connectable.” If your device does not have such a control screen, you can assume that the default behavior of the Bluetooth device is “connectable” and you don’t need to look for a way to enable this feature.
Turn it off and on againRestarting the affected device or devices, should almost always be your first troubleshooting step as it can fix a surprising number of issues. You should restart both your headphones and your phone for the best chance of this working.
Make sure Bluetooth is enabledA lot of phones have a quick access button to disable Bluetooth. Even though it’s unlikely, you should check your phone to make sure that you haven’t accidentally turned Bluetooth off in your pocket or bag.
Disconnect and reconnectTry disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth connection between your phone and headphones. If that doesn’t work try unpairing them, then pairing them again.
Try different devicesThe best way to work out which device is causing the issue is to try them both with different devices. You should try connecting the Bluetooth headphones to another Bluetooth device, such as a computer as well as connecting your phone to another Bluetooth headset or speaker.
Recharge your devicesBattery power is obviously needed for both your phone and headphones to run. Check that they both have enough power. If your headphones don’t have a battery indicator, a few minutes of charging should be enough to identify if the battery charge was the issue.
Clear Bluetooth cache and dataIf none of these fixes work, you could try clearing your Bluetooth settings entirely. To do so, open the apps list in your phone’s settings app and tap on “Bluetooth”. If Bluetooth doesn’t appear in the list, you may need to enable “Show system apps”. To do so tap on the triple-dot icon in the top-right corner then select “Show system apps”.

How to Connect Your Android Tablet to a TV with an HDMI Connection

To connect an Android phone or tablet to a TV you can use an MHL/SlimPort (via Micro-USB) or Micro-HDMI cable if supported, or wirelessly cast your screen using Miracast or Chromecast.
You may think that having a 10-inch Android tablet really smokes those folks with the smaller, 8-inch tablets. Ha! You’re in for a surprise. That’s because any tablet with HDMI output — even those doinky 7-inch models — can hook up to an 80-inch plasma HDTV screen and really show who’s boss.
When your Android tablet features an HDMI connection, whether it’s a 7-inch model or a 10-inch behemoth, you too can enjoy the pleasures of a larger screen. It doesn’t have to be an 80-inch plasma screen, either; any monitor or HDTV with HDMI input does the job.
Upon success, an HDMI notification or pop-up appears on the tablet’s screen. Choose it and select how to display information on the external monitor. Depending on the tablet, you can choose to run a slideshow, present videos or music, or simply mirror the information displayed on the touchscreen. Among the options you’ll find for using the larger screen are these:
Gallery: You can view pictures or a slideshow, according to the directions on the screen.
Music: Choose a playlist, an album, or an artist, and enjoy watching the Music app on the big screen. (The sound should play from the TV’s speakers.)
Mirror On Display: The screen output on your Android tablet is duplicated on the HDMI TV or monitor. This option is the one you choose when you want to watch a rented movie on the big screen.
When you’re finished using the HDMI connection, simply disconnect the tablet from the HDTV or monitor. The display returns to normal operation.

How to Update Your Android Tablet System

Before we get into upgrades, it’s important to know that some manufacturers are in the habit of adding different “skins,” or user interfaces, to whichever stock version of Android they’ve selected for a device. As a result, Ice Cream Sandwich, say, isn’t going to look or act the same across the assorted technologies you and your friends are packing. A manufacturer may tweak the operating system to work with a tablet’s cameras or interface with a cellular digital service. That’s what you get with an open source system. (But let it be said that there’s spirited debate among the Android community about whether all this customization is necessary or just plain ridiculous.)
Every so often, a new version of the Android tablet’s operating system becomes available. It’s an Android update because Android is the name of the operating system, not because the Android tablet thinks that it’s some type of robot.
Yes, you can put off an update by simply dismissing the update notice: Touch the Home icon. However, it is strongly recommended that you upgrade.
You can manually check for updates: In the Settings app, choose About Tablet or About Device. (On Samsung tablets, look on the General tab in the Settings app.) Choose System Updates or Software Update. When the system is up-to-date, the screen tells you so. Otherwise, you find directions for updating the Android operating system.
Touching the Check Now button isn’t magic. When an update is available, the tablet lets you know.
Non-Android system updates might also be issued. For example, the tablet’s manufacturer may send out an update to the Android tablet’s guts. This type of update is often called a firmware update. As with Android updates, you should accept all firmware updates.
